Im gonna make this all fancy once I have a better idea but figured might as well put this here for everyone playing Aurors/Auror adjacents to pitch in if they wanted to! So Faustus has officially retired from being Head Auror as of beginning of April BUT is returning to his former position of being the Stealth & Tracking Instructor for the Aurors in Training.

Ive been mulling over some ideas about what kinds of lessons he'd have taught and here are some of the initial nuggets that I came up with! I'd love to hear your thoughts critiques etc

• some version of capture the flag?
  
• faustus blindfolds himself, the AiTs try and sneak up on him, then they all take turns trying to do this to each other
  
• some muggle versions of stealth, pick pocketing, stuff without magic etc
  
• i'd love a sort of ongoing thing in the program where there's a contest in the office to see who can sneak up on faustus and steal a designated object off his person. and then there are different levels to the game, where one level is to steal it, another level is to steal, modify it somehow, put it back, another is remove the spell on it, and steal it etc — winner gets a prize or winner gets to skip the mid-way exam which i head canon is always brutal cause this is Auror Training duh
  
• sensory deprivation training: AiTs must navigate obstacle course with no sight then no sight and no sound
  
• observation: magical room with certain number of things. they get a certain amount of seconds to observe everything until it goes away and they have to list what they saw
  
• conceal themselves for a certain amount of time while staying hidden (attn: Trystan, maybe collaboration?)
  
• moving through different terrains silently - land, air, water

I like the idea of a stealthy capture the flag, maybe in some kind of shifting corridor arrangement with "guards" (dont forget crouching makes you invisible).

Possibly with some parts that encourage teamwork to get though, perhaps like a seesaw crossing that makes a loud band when it drops unless someone is helping balance it. Just an idea.

But this sort of action training event sounds a lot of fun.
