After a magical attempt on her life in 1877, Queen Victoria launched a crusade against magic that, while tidied up by the Ministry of Magic, saw the Wizarding community exiled to Hogsmeade, previously little more than a crossroad near the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In the years that have passed since, Hogsmeade has suffered plagues, fires, and Victorian hypocrisy but is still standing firm.
Thethe year is now 1895. It’s time to join us and immerse yourself in scandal and drama interlaced with magic both light and dark.

"I shan't go easy on you," Gideon's warning to his cousin was a teasing one as he made his way to face the two competitors. It seemed rather silly—far too grand—to have him stand before them like this when it was just the two, but the healer did not make the rules.
"A final challenge for you both," he announced. "A potion for dreamless sleep. I trust both of you are up to the challenge, having it made it thus far and so, I see no cause for further ado!"

Phil, for his part, managed to keep a straight face at Gideon, which he thought ought to earn him extra points. Something about sportsmanship.
He settled into brewing the potion, trying to be extra careful, if only to not make a fool of himself now. When he was done, he took a step back from his cauldron to await judgment.

Her jaw tightened , her success thus far less rewarding than she wished. She knew this potion well, had needed it more and more of late. Still, she gave her fullest attention to her work. Just one more time.
Both potions were completed to an incredibly high standard, as was to be expected from finalists in a competition of this nature. Ultimately, though, it was his cousin's brew who had the edge; Gideon complemented both participants for their good work before declaring Phil the victor.
