August 10th, 1895 - Jeong Event
There was no avoiding this one. Another family from Joseon making their way into British society was cause for his mother to get all in a tizzy, winding up his sisters as well. Nani and Yu-mi had spent far too much time getting ready that Min had disappeared back into the annex, though hadn't gone so far as to mess up his smart robes. Instead he'd catalogued some of the texts he'd been meaning to organize and alphabetize. Surely that was good enough to keep him occupied, but clean.
Once the time had arrived, they'd flooed to the address given and then the dance began.
Nani had been on his arm for most of the evening, his youngest sister a little less interested in such things than their other sister. Nani tended to take after Min in personality, more comfortable around books and quiet than amongst their peers, but this would be good for them. Neither had much luck this season so far and with its impending end, Min knew he wouldn't get any further, but either of his sisters might.
They hadn't made it much longer before Nani was swept away by their mother, off to meet some eligible gentleman of some sort, leaving Min to finally pluck up the fortitude to approach the guests of honor this evening. His mother had made it clear he ought to introduce himself (and perhaps a sister, but he'd spared Nan from that on purpose) and he supposed now as as good of a time as any. There were several brothers that Min would never keep straight, but as soon as he found an opening, he took a deep breath and approached the ridiculously tall man; he'd never seen someone from his own country so tall, it was a little intimidating.
Regardless, he bowed low enough to be considered respectable and straightened up with a tentative smile. "Welcome to England." Starting in English, but continuing in their native language, "You've got all the mothers all wound up." He motioned to his own, enthusiastically chatting away with a few others, meaning it lightheartedly.
