Jin was never more at peace than he was at this moment, tucked into Ahn-Bo’s— everything. Hearing him respond to the obvious with his own affirmation only helped things along. Jin was a jealous, possessive thing and he did need the reminder occasionally that Ahn-Bo was partial. But even still, even without verbal confirmation or a physical one, Jin still felt more wanted when he was with the wolf than when he was with anyone else. His brothers were his everything; he idolized them each in their own ways, likely to an unhealthy degree. He was attached and spirits forbid anyone ever tried to hurt one of them and incur Jin’s actual anger. (Even Abeoji he tried to protect them from to the best of his abilities.) But with Ahn-Bo there was an easiness that had existed long since before the Menagerie had become what it was today. And while it was a safe space, one where he could be himself for better or worse, Jin found the consistency of it to be the most valuable. In a world where everything was always changing and they only had the five of each other to rely on— Ahn-Bo was the hyung they all needed.

He was loathe to put any space or distance between them at all. In fact, he was perfectly content to lay there and trace small patterns with the tip of his finger up the side of the wolf’s neck and around his ear forever. But when Ahn-Bo finally shifted, Jin felt a protective instinct kick in. He had a soft grin on his face as he twitched his hand and summoned a small, ratty looking towel that lived in the very bottom of his trunk. It was clean and well kept, just old and had served them for many years. Passing it over them both, he gave a quiet little hum. There were not words safe enough to express what he was feeling but Jin had the sneaking suspicion the look on his face was pretty convincing.

It had taken Ahn-Bo a few minutes to come down from his high. When he did, he simply rolled onto his back to lie in the grass beside Jin. They were out of breath, cheeks flushed, and a sheen of sweat clung to their skin. He'd been staring at the sky in a satisfied daze. Jin made a little humming sound—one that Ahn-Bo thought sounded a lot like the hum that meant: 'Jin was in his own head again.' He flopped his head in his brother's direction to check.

His brother had a look on his face. One that Ahn-Bo didn't recognize, though he'd seen similar from him over the years. Not quite like this one, though. This one was more. That lump in his throat returned. Ahn-Bo managed a soft smile before he lifted his arm, an invitation for Jin to lay against him. The chill of Jin's skin felt like a relief. He sighed contentedly as he took stock of what he could see of the vampire. Bruises, bites, scratches, and blood from biting himself—and his brother—dirt where he'd lain on the ground and stray pieces of fauna in his hair... and smears of black ink.

His own body was in about the same shape, though he had the addition of a deep puncture in his neck—and quite a bit more ink on him. A thought suddenly occurred to him, and he lifted the forearm that hadn't been wrapped around Jin. Jin. Still there. Smudged, but there. He sighed and let his hand flop back to the grass. "So," he chuckled, "Same time tomorrow?"

Jin felt the urge to bite his lower lip to keep the ridiculous grin from reaching his eyes but didn’t manage it. Instead, he ducked his chin and busied himself with tidying up so he could hide his expression and rein it in. He was so ridiculously pleased with himself that it was seeping out of his very pores. Ahn-Bo had rolled over into the grass and extended his arm in offering and this, now, was the moment Jin felt he wanted to memorize.

The wolf was so handsome with his heavy limbs outstretched in welcome, a satisfied look spread over his face, and his body glistening with mist and sweat. He was perfect— the Adonis that was written about in legends. Jin wanted nothing more than to curl right into his chest but he debated for only a moment. He was… covered in all manner of ink, grass, sweat and whatever else, while also remaining quite naked. It wasn’t a comfortable state but neither did he particularly wish to tidy himself much more just yet. The scent of Ahn-Bo still lingered on his skin. Splitting the difference, Jin reached for the nearest piece of fabric and slid a shirt — not his own, he realized — over his shoulders. It was just a fraction too big for his lithe frame but it smelled of Ahn-Bo too. Jin smirked and didn’t bother to button it.

A breathless little laugh escaped him at the subsequent comment and he hummed in amusement as he curled into Ahn-Bo’s side. “Ne,” he chirped, nuzzling into the wolf’s neck. “Same place,” he agreed teasingly.

Ahn-Bo snorted a laugh at Jin's attempts to redress. His own shirt didn't look too bad on Jin (though he didn't think anything could, considering he was covered in a myriad of smears and smudges right now and it still did nothing to undermine his beauty.) He suspected that Jin might have grabbed the wrong shirt on purpose. He didn't say anything, though—in fact, he was rather pleased.

"Deal," He grinned and pressed a soft kiss to Jin's hair. Truthfully, he'd only been half joking. If Jin was up for making this a daily occurrence, Ahn-Bo would make it happen. He let the joke pass by, however. Jin rarely gave in to his own desires. He was too saddled with guilt and far too occupied with trying to punish himself for something that had hardly been his fault. They had shared an intense moment and Ahn-Bo was ready for some fun and light banter, their usual dynamic.

"Your plan worked, after all." He raised his brows, as if impressed.

The sound of Ahn-Bo’s laugh was just as buoying to Jin’s mood as the gentle kiss that was pressed into his hair. It was rumbly and honest and so like the big wolf that sometimes, on his worst days, Jin sought him out just to hear it. Ahn-Bo’s personality was infectiously positive, always looking on the bright side or trying to find a joke amidst the darkness. Jin relied on him, he realized, on those days where his mind was so fractured it felt like it would swallow him whole.

He smiled now as he pressed a soft kiss against his brother’s shoulder. Jin was satisfied with the response; it was a nice fantasy to consider, though he doubted its viability. Firstly, because their schedules were so varied and one didn’t always know what one was even meant to do any given day, and secondly, because well… he couldn’t do that. (Could he?) Surely not. It wasn’t fair to Ahn-Bo. Jin shook the thought as quickly as it came, determined not to let his brooding ruin their joint good mood. He was still floating in a place that was warm and unusual. One where the weight of reality hadn’t yet reached.

Arching an eyebrow at the wolf, Jin gave a soft snort and reached for one of Ahn-Bo’s hands. “What plan?” He had no idea what they were talking about now as he traced small patterns along each finger.

Ahn-Bo's eyes followed the progress of Jin's finger as he drew patterns against his skin. It was something Jin did when he was fully relaxed. Rare, rarer when they were able to just be themselves like this. He felt a pang in his chest. Instead, Jin was miserable and in his own head, hating himself and brooding. (He hated when Ahn-Bo said that, despite its truth.) "Your grand plan." He smirked, as if that explained it. It didn't.

At the look he received (the one he knew was coming), he laughed, "to seduce me. That's why you came out here, isn't it, Jin-ah? With your notebook and ink?" Where had those ended up anyhow? He hoped they weren't lost or ruined. Not that he had cared in the moment. Nor did he think that Jin had actually known he was out here... although his brother was rather clever. Maybe he had planned it after all.

Ah-Bo’s elaboration did nothing to add context for Jin as to his ‘grand plan.’ He hadn’t had any plan coming out here other than to write and he’d accomplished absolutely none of that at all. He gave Ahn-Bo a quizzical look, eyes wide with intrigue.

(And again Ahn-Bo laughed, the sound filling Jin’s head and making him dizzy.)

When at last the joke landed, Jin pulled a small face scrunching his nose in indignation. He didn’t hesitate to snort and retort back. “If I’d had a plan to seduce you, I wouldn’t have made such a mess of us,” he gestured slightly at where they were both covered in ink and grass. A grin slipped through his facade however and he nuzzled closer into Ahn-Bo’s side. As for the notebook and ink, he didn’t even want to check for fear of the worst. Jin was sure he’d distinctly heard a small clatter at some point and was in denial that they’d made a mess of the notebook.

Besides,” the vampire continued, humming to himself with a slight tease. He snuck a peek up in Ahn-Bo’s direction and grinned mischievously. “I don’t need to pre-mediate a plan to seduce you. I’ve gotten rather good on a whim after all these years.

Fair point, in both regards. Ahn-Bo laughed as he nodded his concession, coating his response with an over-the-top flirtatious tone, "Many, many whims at that." Either Jin hadn't caught on that this 'chance' meeting had been orchestrated entirely by the wolf, or he was saving it for later. Not that he'd thought their meeting would have gone this way. In this direction, sure. Kissing, light petting... but last he knew, Jin had been upset with him. Clearly not anymore since he was curled up in Ahn-Bo's arms. Though the moment would have to end soon, he simply enjoyed the breeze on parts that didn't usually feel it and soaked up as much of Jin's scent, warmth, and attention as he could.
