Acacia has an idea! A big vision that is in the works that will ideally look something like this once it first opens.
What do I need from all of you? Everything of course! Donors, publicity, healers, patient zero! Acacia is putting together a proposal and would like to work with Hogsmeade Hospital, St. Mungo's, and Irvingly Infirmary, rather than coming across as competition. Been dying to be a Hospital leader, or already have a department head that you want in on discussing this outline with? Go for it!
By the time the established Clinic is open and operational, positions will either be filled or 'filled' in General section and most of Long-Term Program. Specialties is the lesser priority for the clinic, as the hospitals are more funded for supplies and practice, but as operations grow, ideally these positions will be filled and a mediwitch/mediwizard ward will be open.
Acacia would also like to discuss partnership with the Ministry in giving free healthcare check-ups to werewolves on post-full moon visits on not only werewolf-related injuries but a full healthcare experience on a voluntary basis, in the hopes of extending a branch of human kindness and incentivizing self-reporting for werewolves who may be scared of being outed to the Ministry.
The Hogsmeade ClinicEst. 189—
Inspired by and dutifully crafted after the work of Mrs. Acacia Darlington after her years of work at the Hogsmeade Hospital. Having experienced the hardships of half-breed prejudice from both schooling and society at large, Mrs. Darlington's was inspired to open the clinic for disadvantaged individuals alongside a program of long-term care that hospitals cannot provide on their own.
General Healthcare — Meant for patients who have little to no income, who would otherwise be choosing between a hospital stay and food should they go to the hospital. Funds for this program are largely donation and fundraising based, as most patients do not pay a cent for care or after treatment.
Specialty Care — Met on a case-by-case basis. With this program being new and having limited resources, certain cases will need to be referred to the hospitals outright. When possible, patients will be under the same care as general healthcare.
Emergency Care — Similar to specialty, emergencies are met on a case-by-case basis. Healers will do everything in their power to ensure that every patient is stable before being admitted or transferred.
Disaster Care — At the time of opening, the Clinic is not equipped to handle disaster care. Healers from the clinic are encouraged to volunteer their time at the hospitals where needed, and there is hope that time and coordination will provide resources towards having a more well-rounded care accommodation.
Long Term Program — Where a steady income is made for the facility outside of charity. This is the program for those who can afford twenty-four/seven treatment while suffering ailments. Lifelong curse that your family can no longer manage? Is your loved one casting spells at random because they keep forgetting not to? Maid services, group activities, shopping trips, and more can be found in this program. Pay various depending on treatment plan, but the baseline would be affordable for comfortable middle class and can be monthly or yearly payments.
