One of the cheapest homeless shelters in Victorian London charged four pennies to sleep in a coffin. Which was... still better than sleeping upright against a rope? — Jordan / Lynn
If he was being completely honest, the situation didn't look good, but Sylvano was not in the habit of being completely honest about anything. No reason to start now.

Ki-Se smiled before standing up straight and moving into the proper bow of greeting that he had been taught a gentleman must do when greeting another man. "If that is what you want," he said cheekily. He showed the utmost respect and devotion for his hyungs but such rigid formalities between them had long since been buried, if Ki-Se had ever observed them at all in the first place.

Jin couldn’t hold back the laugh that bubbled up in his throat despite the fact that he felt a small thrill of appreciation. It was a strange sight indeed to see Ki-Se bow so gentlemanly but it was cute too. Jin couldn’t resist… As Ki-Se remained bent low, he moved forward and caught the younger in one arm and ruffled his hair with the other, letting out a small whistle. “Look at you being so respectful,” he teased. “I could get used to this view.”

Ki-Se yelped as the other caught him and ruffled his hair. "It will be strange to speak to people," Ki-Se said as he snuggled into Jin's arm. By people, he meant those that didn't know them from a menagerie. He had not really had to speak to people in the extensive way that he was going to have to. The best he could hope was that he would simply come off as shy or something to the public if he forgot some nicety. He didn't relish knowing what Yeom might do if he messed up so badly that there was unfavourable talk of him.

Jin grinned and resisted the urge to press his nose to Ki-Se’s head. He held the other close as the confession came forward and, sobering a bit, gave a small nod. Jin could understand the sentiment. He too was anxious about what was to come. Despite all the preparation, there was no telling how British society would receive them. They were novel, they always had been, but this was a novelty that could well be rejected outright. Shaking the thought from his mind, he steeled his features a bit.

“It will be,” he agreed, voice softened. “But you’re so handsome and charming, you could win anyone over.” Jin smiled down at the littlest with full sincerity. “Don’t worry about the strangeness. It will get easier in time.” Everything did. Even the unthinkable.

"You always have a way with words, hyung," Ki-Se said, his cheeks flushing at the others compliments. His hair often covered his face but he had been told that Yeom would no longer tolerate that. "I suppose. Shall we go in?" He still felt uncomfortable being on the grounds despite it being a permitted area for them to be.

It was easy to tell someone not to worry about something, but from experience Jin knew how difficult and empty that advice could feel. Especially when he, too, felt the same anxieties in this particular case as Ki-Se. Tucking his chin over the top of his brother’s head, Jin let out a soft breath. There wasn’t much he could do besides offer empty words of comfort and be here, physically and psychologically, for any of them. He’d already tried once to do more and, well. They all knew how that went. But he could hold them. And snuggle them, and squeeze all the affection and guilt he felt into them until they were blue in the face. And while not all were willing to receive it, at least Ki-Se tolerated him. For that Jin was endlessly grateful.

He gave a small nod and released the other. “Ne,” they could go back in.
