Noble grimaced at the mention of punching. "Yeah," he said, "I should be able to avoid that." He should have been able to avoid punching the wall at all — it was childish and he wasn't childish, and it was a show of temper and he tried to avoid shows of temper — but it had happened in a flash of thoughtless action anyways.

But he was unlikely to be that upset again, anyways.

"Thanks," Noble said, not for the first time since Darrow had gotten here. It was the only thing to say, though.
