That was a weird answer, too, and Zelda frowned into her champagne flute. Maybe he just didn't want to talk about it in front of Ros? Zelda certainly didn't want to be talking in front of Ros; she wished that Xena would stop floating and would require some sort of sisterly engagement.

"Well, I would be delighted to have you in Britain for the summer," Zelda said, trying to project an ease she wasn't feeling, "So I suppose I hope things are settled soon?"
