It was probably not a good thing that Aristotle was actually used to being slapped, by women. His hand went to rub his cheek where her hand had connected as he watched her walk away. He couldn't fault her for her actions.
"What was that about?" Calantha said, returning to his side, obviously finished with whatever she was doing. Aristotle pondered his answer.
"I have no idea. Would you believe me if I said she offered to marry me?" That answer had been worth it to see Calantha stunned for her words and quiet for a moment.
"Do you even know who she is?" She then asked.
"I have no idea." Calantha stared after the girl, and he feared the look in her eye. It had a promise of pain for him.
