The new clothes felt strange against his freshly scrubbed skin. The ones he’d been wearing had become so melded to his form that it almostt felt like they had been a part of him. Ahn-Bo didn’t ask where the clean clothes came from, nor did he comment as Jin made sure he was properly bundled in them. Then, it was back to the tangles mess of his hair.

He sat there, the process of the untangling of knots pulling painfully at his scalp, despite Jin’s gentleness. As the familiar melody kept them company, his eyelids fluttered closed. Not asleep, just… allowing himself to settle in the moment. The muscle tension he had been carrying around for weeks slowly eased, leaving even more knots behind.

The humming stopped abruptly, replaced by a frustrated sound from Jin. Ahn-Bo’s eyes opened as he turned toward him. “There’s no point.” It would get this way again, whether Jin cut it or not.
