His warning of the limits of his power did not inspire any sort of willingness in Lowri to back down on the matter. She merely blinked at him. “But that’s a preposterous thing to say, Shelly,” She commented, as if he was still a toddler asking why his pet didn’t suddenly sprout wings and fly away on its own. “You’re the Minister of Magic, or have you forgotten? Surely you know you hold more sway than people would like to admit at least!”

And while she knew the enormity of her request was - exactly that - Lowri still kept her voice to a lower decibel, not wanting to risk anyone overhearing; even if she was his mother and it could be written off as such (as opposed to one politician bribing another politician for a favor).
