The man’s response to him was immediate, as most were. Gil made no secret of what he was to anyone, proud of it and rather thinking vampires much better than the lesser scum on the bottom of his shoe that humans tended to be. But he flashed a pointed grin to help the kid along. He was cute, and he looked young. Probably inexperienced with the more interesting side of life. The response that came out of his mouth however was so much more than Gilbert could have expected.
A wider, pointier grin stretched across the vampire's face. Jeong. It wasn’t a name Gilbert was familiar with so he must be new. Accepting the kid’s handshake, he smirked slightly. “I’m pleased to hear it,” he responded. “Gilbert.” Just Gilbert, for now. Pulling out a stool next to his new friend’s, Gilbert settled himself and placed his glass of blood on the bar. The viscous liquid dribbled down the sides it had sloshed unlike any wine in existence. He’d picked up the distinct note of an accent on Jeong’s voice, though he couldn’t place where it was from. Curiosity prickled at the vampire’s long memory and so he stated more than asked: “You’re new here. To the Veil or to England as well?”
