Telling anyone about this was a betrayal of her siblings. Telling a woman who was, at this point, essentially a stranger was also dangerous. But she was Awake, and maybe her brothers were content to avoid scandal - but Sera was not convinced that avoiding confrontation of the issue had actually helped her at all. 

Maybe it was time to trust someone.
