Oh, there it was. Eileen could probably see why the surprise was mildly upsetting for someone who gave a shit about things like this. It wasn't that Eileen didn't care, it was more that she had too many other things to worry about, like making the rent and having food on the table and enough leftover to send home if needed, that she couldn't reach beyond what she was already handling.
