What Day Is It?
#1
Hey! I had always thought Charming dates lined up with real life dates, and that this translated to day of the week as well. And that we keep messing with leap years and time shenanigans specifically to preserve that xD But I did a quick google to double check which date Easter was and got April 6th, which is a Monday this year.

So... have we always been out of sync and just pretending to be in sync for ease of posting? So I should use April 5th (Sunday in 2020) rather than the 6th (Sunday in 1890)?

Our calendar uses 2020 days of the week so I assume Sunday is the 5th on the board but like... did I make up that they were ever synced? What happened? >>

Leap days are the bane of my life!!

Yes, so every few years our days of the week go out of sync with the 1880s/90s days, unfortunately. We used to do the "date things a day off" once upon a time, but for ease we now go by our 2020 calendar weekdays. After the next VE leap day it will naturally line up again for a while, hallelujah.

So yeah, in the meantime, the board calendar lines up with our modern one. Save day-of-the-week specific holidays, which are adjusted appropriately - so in this case Easter for Charming is Sunday April 5th.
