It hadn't been too long since Antoinette was at her own Coming Out Ball. It was mostly tradition--she hadn't entertained the idea of finding a husband at the ball, mostly since she knew she wanted to focus on the AiT program first. But she'd been trying to get on with her mother, and that meant attending the ball. Now she was attending for an entirely different reason: to celebrate the graduation of her friend, Ada. And her stepping into debutante life, but Annie had always thought of that as a bit less important. Not that she would let that on. She had faith that, if she wanted to, Ada could be the best debutante there was through sheer stubbornness.
After the end of a dance, Anne approached Ada as quickly as she could so that the two of them could avoid being trapped into another dance. Sometimes it was fun, but now Annie wanted to talk. She didn't get much time for it, especially not when Ada had been at Hogwarts and Antoinette had been busy with her training.
"You look lovely," Annie started off, "Refreshments?"
She wiggled her eyebrows a little. Hopefully they'd get to talk about some of the people in attendance, but really, Antoinette just wanted to hear what Ada thought of the ball.
