Appearance: Raven is short, her hair and clothes range from dark and gothic, to bright and overly colorful. Her hair is medium length, and a dark brown that borders on black, with piercing blue eyes. She is right handed, and carries her wand on her right thigh.
History: Raven was born in a small town in Louisiana that dated back to before the American Civil War. Her family were wizards who had helped found the town, and provided refuge to other wizards in the state who sought refuge at the time.

Raven, while still young, was caught in a hurricane, which terrified her at the time, until a massive bird came down, and wrapped her in its wings, shielding her from the freezing rain and powerful winds. Her family found her with the tail feather of a thunderbird tangled in her hair.

When she was eight, her family, still facing backlash decades after the end of the Civil War, chose to leave the United States, selling their plantation and purchasing land and a manor in the county of Somerset in England. Raven’s father had her wand made using the thunderbird feather, and Ollivander had found a red oak wand to be her best fit.

Her first year at Hogwarts was… rough to say the least. At least until her wand decided to curse an older Slytherin girl who had tried to badly hex her. While she had received a detention for fighting outside of an authorized duel, she was not blamed for the curse, as it was performed by the wand and not her. (She is currently incapable of silent casting, though being from an american family with friendly relations to a local Choctaw reservation, can do some forms of wandless magic.)

Despite being from a fairly old family of French descent, she does not seem to care about blood purity, though is quite skilled at putting on an act around supremacists.
