Secondary Residence: The Estate
The Lukeson Estate is located in Wales. It has been rarely used by the entire family and was primarily used by Ace during full moon visits (as far as the immediate family was concerned at least), as the forest on the property holds a hidden cabin that has been magically built up for keeping Ace safely tucked away during the night. During the days after, he would typically make a week of it at the Lukeson Estate itself during particularly bad months. With his passing, perhaps they'll figure visit the estate simply to visit. Especially for privacy during the off season and to spend time with Grandma Lukeson.

"girl know your place, this ain't your world" 1875 Jolie is born as the second daughter and fifth child of Guinevere and Ryder. 1877 Another sister, Sybille, is born. Jolie is too young to take note or to care. 1878 The youngest and newest addition to the family has already shown signs of magic. While still too young to notice or care, several family members will actively go on to talk about this incident. Grandma Rey in particular, a seer, has taken special note in Sybille's magic. An older Jolie would later site this reason as one of several as why she takes a particular disliking towards her younger sister. 1879 Little Jolie has really started to follow Ace around, and his fondness for such things encourages her all the more. Ace is her favorite sibling by far. 1880 With her favorite sibling off to Hogwarts, Jolie has too much free time on her hands. She takes to writing him letters often and studying where she can. But her attention span can never quite stay in the study. She likes to keep moving. "hush, little girl, don't make a scene" 1881 Avril and Ace start acting weird. Ace doesn't write as much when he's at Hogwarts and doesn't come home for holiday. Jolie cannot help but be hurt. If it was only Ace that was acting off, it would feel more personal, but with Avril acting much the same it can't be much of a coincidence. Summer, 1882 Tensions continue to grow, now mother and father seem rather tense. But no one is saying anything. Jolie starts confronting Ace on several occasions, until he finally tells her firmly to stop bothering him. Hurt by his stern tone and very 'un-Ace-like' behavior, she flees to her room and the door locks shut magically. No key will make it budge. Jolie truly hadn't meant to do that. It takes careful charm work to get the lock to budge. 1882 Avril is in school and is placed into Ravenclaw, like Ace. Summer, 1883 Finally, mother and father allow Ace and Avril to tell the rest of the siblings the truth. The family has a talk and the werewolf is out of the bag to the other siblings. Father is a werewolf, to be exact. Except… Sybille is basically in denial, thinking it’s a joke. What a joke indeed. Further cementing Jolie's distaste for her sister, she reluctantly obliges her families wishes to play along with her sister's delusions. 1883 Leroy goes to Hogwarts and is placed in Hufflepuff. 1884 King goes to Hogwarts. It will always astound and amaze that he made it past the first week without convincing mother and father to take him back home. 1885 Cousin Edgar is in school, a Gryffindor. 1886 Finally, Jolie starts her time at Hogwarts but is shocked and disappointed she is placed in Gryffindor, rather than in Ravenclaw with Ace. but that ain't something i'll ever do 1887 Ace graduates, the little time at school together being bittersweet. Summer is the beginning of a series of losses for the family. Leroy and Uncle Charles are dead. Mother then decides to take Avril out of school to be closer. Jolie fears for her own education. She is, after all, the next oldest girl. She tries to double down on her course work, though her attention span isn't always great. Study groups seem to be a great solution. March 22, 1888 Father dies and mother goes into premature labor. March 23, 1888 Young Roselle is in the world, but mother is not... at least that is what everyone thought at the time. i'm scorching the ground March 25, 1888 Ace is now the guardian of the rest of them, officially. As much as she loves him, Jolie isn't quite sure how she feels about that. Aunt Jade is constantly hovering, making frequent visits. Jolie is definitely annoyed by that. Summer, 1888 Between the drama of Ace and Avril, and Jolie's utter annoyance towards Aunt Jade, Jolie goes to visit the Rey cousins whenever the chance arises. the crowd threw me out for the kill February 1, 1889 The investigation that their mother might be alive is featured in the Daily Prophet. Ace had not yet told his family, so that came as a sudden shock. Despite being her favorite sibling, Jolie was absolutely enraged by these events. But she kept her calm around him directly and even played devil's advocate at times towards her other siblings, especially Sybille. February 4, 1889 Mother is found and rescued. She really was alive. June 26, 1889 Avril marries Warwick Nott, after the two are betrothed due to Aunt Jade. How that even happened, Jolie can't be sure. She primarily blames mother. Her return, the stress her being back had on Ace, the weight her 'death' put on him and his decision-making skills. All of it. July 14, 1889 By Merlin's Bloody Beard, Ace tells Jolie and the rest of the siblings — aside from Avril who was there and Roselle who is far too young to understand — that he had been bitten and turned by a werewolf during the previous full moon. As their father before them, this is agreed to be their family secret.
At first, Sybille continues to behave as if this is some sort of joke. Jolie is tired of this. Tired of feeding into her naivety. She's blunt and demands that their sister takes this seriously. Only for the little Hufflepuff to accuse all of them to have lied to her this whole time. Could she be more insufferable?! Jolie continues her blunt verbal force by reminding her sister that the choice of ignorance lied solely on Sybille's shoulders.September 16, 1889 Ace and Lucille elope. Why does no one tell anyone anything anymore? Jolie can't understand how she keeps getting told these things after the fact. How she's being kept in the dark. Sure, the werewolf denier that still lives in the clouds and has grand plans of becoming a baker, but the one that has stood by his side? Why can't she know any of it? June 11, 1890 A nephew is born, but Lucille died in childbirth. October 24, 1890 Mother leaves. No note. It's not like this sense of a hole in the household is anything new. Jolie tends to wonder where her mother is from time to time. October 26, 1890 Warwick Nott and Avril are attacked by a vampire. Warwick is killed and Avril is transformed. While Avril does change her name back to Lukeson, Ace can't accept her back into the house. It's too much. Jolie also wonders where Avril is from time to time. Did she ever find their mother? look at me now, look at what i built1891 — 1892 While Aunt Jade's intervention with Avril and Sybille had originally been overstepping via Avril and their mother's desperation via Sybille, Ace's overwhelmed state and grief allowed for Aunt Jade's intense state of intervention to take over the active decision making and looking after of Jolie, Sybille, and Roselle. Brenda and Hubert express their disappointment, yet their girls are coming of age soon and Jade has no daughters so it is hard to argue. Meanwhile, King has since graduated Hogwarts and Ace sends him off to go on tour as a young man. Let him explore the world.
Jolie is less than eager to follow Aunt Jade's lead. This in turn shows a series of summers that offer rebellion and Aunt Jade evasion. Jolie actively seeks out fellow ladies to spend time with, as she isn't trying to be seen alone with a young man or any such nonsense, yet she does gain a reputation as a chaperone avoider when on age-appropriate outings during summer months. When at school, she is well behaved and studies hard among a study group that she has had a long time standing, which has since grown each year with new students - though lessens again when older students graduate.no freedom without the will

my wings grew back, and theirs never will1893 — 1894 Jolie comes out as a full-blown debutante. Wow, she certainly wishes that Aunt Jade wasn't hovering over her shoulder. Oh well, let the fun begin. Her avoidance of Jade continues in stride, to the point of which Aunt Jade actively attempts to ask Ace to send Jolie to a finishing school. When Ace remarks back that Jolie's school marks are perfectly above board, including her etiquette class, their aunt is left seething quietly.
By the following year, Aunt Jade's primary tactic for Jolie has resolved towards sending her out with hired chaperones that Jade has personally selectedstrict and purist afor an appropriate family relation of equal harshness. This does little in taming Jolie from finding new ways to avoid and evade whenever possible, though she never chooses to go far.May 28, 1895 Sybille debuts. Something seems to change in Ace. An argument happens into the early hours of the next morning in his office after the coming out ball, in private between himself and Jade. He doesn't say anything to his sisters on the matter in the following days, but Jade is a notable absence and after a few days, a new chaperone follows suit that Ace had taken a few days off in order to interview and hire. Jolie is more than happy by the change and finds this chaperone to be more than acceptable. The avoiding and evading ceases. June 13, 1895 Though King has made several return trips over the years, he finally comes home to stay and begins his career. i live to see another day, i live to write my story July 14, 1895 Morwenna Skeeter outs herself as a werewolf. Safe to say, the Lukeson siblings are sweating. July 29, 1895 Father's dog passes away. August 5, 1895 Rufina Mulciber hosts a full moon party as an anti-werewolf witch-hunt. Ace doesn't go. Along with her siblings, Jolie tells everyone that Ryder is ill. Of course, rumors spiral. August 26, 1895 The Ministry continues the 'witch-hunt' and Ace decides to fall on his sword with a resignation on the supposed promise that he would not receive retribution. His letter to his superiors states it's on his morals of not wishing to be a part of the 'witch-hunt' on a whole, rather than pointing the actual finger at himself. Though he does figure that there might be some fellow Ministry employees that might actually leave to avoid more pointing fingers and questions. Jolie worries so much about what this might mean for him. For all of them. But what would have happened with the other options? What were the Ministry's tactics? There had to be something. September 2, 1895 Ace gets murdered for being a suspectedwerewolf. Jolie is devastated by the news. This can't be happening. She blames the Ministry. There has to be something they can do, some way to fight back. Some way to give good grace to Ace's name, even if he's no longer here to see it.September 6, 1895 Grandma Nora Lukeson gets custody of the lot of them and deems fit to move into the London house for the sake of the younger Lukeson's. At least Ace had made sure to keep his ducks in a row when it came to this. Grandma Nora is patient and kind. Staffing really doesn't change in the house, aside from her usual staff more or less joining the house where appropriate.
In Public | Jolie isn't shy when it comes to her opinion and one can find this quality endearing or infuriating. She enjoys good company and will occasionally push the envelope on who she associates with - different class and gender, halfbreeds - typically when she thinks that she can socially get away with that sort of thing. As she has aged and matured, her leanings have started to shift more towards a feminist viewpoint, and the public at large may have noticed her willingly being handed a pamphlet when offered.Other:
