Notable traits:

• She is notoriously clumsy, and not in the cute way. She lacks spacial awareness and is prone to knocking things over or bumping into those around her.
  
• One of her top front teeth is slightly crooked. It's not too noticeable, but she knows it's there, and because of that she always covers her mouth with her hand when she smiles.
  
• Her favorite color is—regrettably—black. She so rarely gets to wear it!

History:

1883 | Born to a father who had a twin brother and a mother who had a twin sister, it was a little surprise when Hermia entered the world just minutes before her twin sister Demetria. Naturally they are doted on—twins, of course, are seen by her parents as a blessing rather than a curse.

1884 | Just a babe at the time, the entire Pucey household comes down with the Laughing Plague. It is a miracle that they all recover, though not without an extensive recovery period.

1886 | Hermia's first sign of magic comes at a young age. She is accidentally fed an overly ripe piece of fruit during a family dinner and expresses her disgust by turning an unpleasant shade of yellow-green. From that day forward she refuses to eat another fig.

1889 | Hermia's eldest sister, Hippolyta, leaves for Hogwarts. The blow is lessened by the beginning of her own classes under the family governess. It's obvious from the beginning that academics come easier to her sister, but Hermia doesn't think—nor has she ever thought—to compare herself to her twin. She is still an eager learner when she's interested in the subject and takes great joy in the arts.

1891/1892 | Lysandra goes off to Hogwarts with Hippolyta. For the first time it is only the twins in the home, and honestly? Hermia doesn't mind too much. She likes having the attention focused on herself and Demetria, and takes great joy in "borrowing" things from her elder sister's bedrooms.

1884 | There is a sinkhole, and Papa is dead. That is as much as Hermia is able to process for weeks. She does not cry when her sisters do, instead asking questions like "He'll be back soon, though, right?". It isn't until her sisters return to Hogwarts that it truly dawns on her how alone the house feels, and only then does she properly grieve. It takes months, but she mostly returns to her usual self by the time Christmas holiday rolls around.

1895 | The time finally comes for Hermia and Demetria to begin their first year at Hogwarts. Her uncle gifts her an owl named Peppercorn for the beginning of her school journey, and she finally gets her hand on a wand. She is surprisingly nervous for the beginning of the school year—less because of her classes, and more because she worries she won't fit in!

Bubbly. Clever. Flighty. Not interested in academics, but also highly competitive. Impulsive, but also afraid of getting in trouble. Blabbermouth. Helpful when she wants to be. Fond of intellectual pursuits on her own terms.
