It's official—I am not a werewolf! It is my ardent hope as your department head that you are not either. If this is something you feel you would be unable to prove if pressed, let us all save ourselves any awkwardness. Those who resign prior to the full moon for any reason shall receive a paid week's leave and the assurance of all appropriate references should you choose to pursue a career outside the Ministry of Magic.

For those of you who choose not to take up this offer, there will be a departmental quidditch match at Howler pitch on 5th September. Attendance is mandatory, but it is both during the work day and fully catered for both players and spectators. Hoorah!
