Millie,
It's hard to believe that you're going to be a sixth year already -- how is time moving so quickly? It feels like just yesterday I was helping you charm your cauldron to stop wobbling in second year, and now here you are, about to embark on NEWTs. I promise, they’re not entirely as dreadful as everyone makes them sound, especially because those who complain are those who leave studying until the last second or don't even bother studying at all… though I won’t lie to you: they’re no walk in the rose garden, either.
The best advice I can give you? Choose your subjects with your heart and your head. The workload jumps, yes, but if you care about what you're learning—even a little—it makes a world of difference. Also pick something you feel might use in the future, as you'll thank yourself later once you realize that yes, you actually did learn this at Hogwarts.
Let my ask your mum about signing you out for a few hours. Perhaps you'd like to look for a new dress for the Coming Out Ball, now that you can attend?
Love,
Zin
