Dear Daddy,
My husband and I would like to announce that our son was born yesterday, later into the evening. Our son and I are doing well. The healers say that he is healthy. He's so tiny, daddy. The healers assured me that he is the average size of a baby, but goodness. I've seen babies before, but to hold my own in my arms is an altogether unique experience.

We named him after you. Chester was so kind to allow me the honor. His name is Trystan Chester Parkinson. I cannot wait for you to meet him.

Congratulations, my love. I’m so glad to hear you’re well — I’m sure you are as exhausted by the ordeal as you are delighted. I have no doubt you will be an excellent mother to him, and give him all the affection he deserves. I’m quite bewildered by the prospect of being a grandfather, myself, but of course I am keen to meet him, and shall stop by to see you both whenever you are ready.

Enjoy the early days, my darling. He’ll grow up fast.
