This is Elizabeth, more commonly known as Birdie! I use "known" lightly—no one actually knows her yet.
BACKGROUND:
Birdie's family hails from the Cambridge area, but they were almost all wiped out by the Laughing Plague of 1884. In the time since, she has resided with her Great-Grandmother, formerly of Hogsmeade, in Cornwall. This is typical Tragic Orphan stuff, but wait, there's more! Because the plague struck purebloods harder, and muggles not at all, Granny Plumm was quite sure that magic was the problem, and so banned it from their lives.
No Hogwarts, no wands, no potions, nothing.
And no extended family (that she was aware of) to keep her anchored to the magical world.
With her guardian's passing, the solicitor did find her some third cousins out in Hogsmeade to stay with: the Thompsetts. She will be arriving at Hogsmeade Station on Tuesday, May 20th to stay for... the foreseeable.
All connections for Birdie will be nice and fresh, which is something I do enjoy! What am I looking for in particular?
EASY ACCESS:
Birdie will be spending much of her time with Sisse Thompsett. Are you someone who also spends time with Sisse? We're going to be meeting! Let's chat about vibes etc.
I don't know if the Thompsetts have any established neighbours. Wanna establish one for Birdie to meet? Hit me up!
HURLING:
I hesitate to call her a debutante because she doesn't feel like one, but Birdie will be doing a lot of related things by virture of "Sisse is the only person she vaguely knows". This means she will be at balls, luncheons, etc. whether she likes it or not
She loves the outdoors, and will no doubt frequent Padmore Park.
What's she looking for? Nothing.
What am I looking for for her? Someone patient and not too boisterous; generally age appropriate—alternatively, anything that has the potential to be fun for me
NUGGETS:
There will come a point at which Birdie will have to do something about learning magic—she has accidental bouts, and they might become problematic with the stress of a new home/lifestyle. Is your character someone who could easily help with this?
She likes gardeneing, specifically flowers. This should become something that can get her more networking!
My two Bixbys are generally in Sisse's orbit, but Sloane won't be local for much longer! Alvin is hovering just outside at the moment but they keep crossing paths.
Mason hits a weird sphere of gardening, hurling and learning magic?
OH I forgot Noah Farley he's her age, but he's fascinated by all things muggle and so her lack of magic prowess would be intriguing to him.
Morrigan Crowley lives in Hogsmeade. She's shit at conventional magic but she would be thrilled to find someone who is untouched (unspoiled) by British magical education )
Adrienne Lestrange while not in her typical sphere dealt with bouts of random magic when she was pregnant.
Edelweiss Prewett also is more in her sphere and (@FALLIN, correct me if I'm wrong lmfao) is friends with Sisse. She's also a seer and is learning to try and navigate life with that sort of thing.
Phie is ALSO a seer, deals with unexpected magic and is obvi into plants, flowers etc
aaannnddd for Hurls... Derek is probably the most approachable. Dominic is closer to her age but will not be at the COB. If she ever finds herself at Avalon Glen though, I am down for a hurling thread!
