Desi whistled to himself as he made his way down the corridor towards one of the lifts. He settled in and found the other occupant to be Adam McKinnon. "McKinnon! I see you were not a tragic victim of the Pixies incident," he teased lightly. He wondered if the Beast division had to handle that or if it had fallen fully under the pest advisory bureaus jurisdiction. Either way, it had been kind of hilarious.

Things in the Beast Division were always busy, it seemed, though Adam often mused that especially dramatic events happened in clusters. There'd been the business with the pixies, and then last week there'd been a Doxy infestation that had taken several members of his department to take care of. And this morning, as if to prove large creatures could be pests, too, some fool had taken an interest in keeping exotic magical creatures and he'd had to rehome a "miniature" occamy that, surprise surprise, had turned out to be full sized. Because of course.

Stepping onto the lift--and hoping there would be at least a light reprieve waiting for him in his office--Adam chuckled at Morgan's question. "I wish it was only the pixies," he said. "Never a dull moment around here."

"It has been one of those weeks," Adam said by way of explanation. He shook his head. "And we are down a man because [Name] had a bad reaction to a particularly nasty doxy bite." He winced. At least the poor fellow seemed to be on the mend, according to the healers. Still, there were always some kind of complications in this job.

Adam chuckled. "Exactly. It always looked simpler when it was someone else's problem." He was mostly kidding, of course. He mostly hadn't realized how much paperwork was involved, really. "Things calmer over in Spirit Division, I hope?"

Desi chuckled before shrugging his shoulders. "Can't complain though poltergeists are always a headache." Though these days, he mostly delegated unless a case sounded especially fun and juicy. Perks of being the boss.

Adam snorted. "I'm not sure I'm desperate enough yet to envy you the poltergeists," he said. Though he couldn't say they didn't make life interesting, for a certain definition of the word.
