Her family is pretty reputable, and Ada herself hasn't done anything to knock her reputation down as of yet.Residence: North Bartonburg, Hogsmeade
Hogwarts House: Ravenclaw
Wand: Vine, 11 1/4 inches, unicorn hair, supple.
Blood Status: Pureblood
Social Class: Middle
Family:
Father. Alfred Talbot (b. 1840)Appearance:
Mother. Catherine Talbot (b. 1846)
Brother. Alfred "Alfie" Talbot (b. 1869)
Hair. Dark brown
Eyes. Brown
Height. 5 feet.
Build. On the skinnier side of average.
Clothing Style. Ada isn't overly interested in fashion, so her style tends toward the practical.
Handedness. Right.
History:
1872. Ada is born the second child and only daughter of Alfred and Catherine Talbot. Ada enjoys a reasonably calm childhood, and spends much of her early days toddling after her older brother.
1876. Ada displays her first sign of magic when, on Christmas morning, the Talbot family awakes to find that all of the gifts have somehow found their way to Ada's bed.
1877. Ada doesn't really remember the upheaval of this year, only that the family moves to Hogsmeade, and she likes her new bedroom better than her old one.
1880. Alfie leaves for Hogwarts.
1884. The Talbots survive the Plague and fire relatively unscathed, thankfully. Ada heads off to Hogwarts in September, where she's sorted into Ravenclaw. She takes to academia like a fish to water, having always been a fairly inquisitive child.
1886. For her third year, Ada takes up Arithmancy, Ancient Runes and Muggle Studies as her electives. She is tempted to take up Care of Magical Creatures instead of Muggle Studies, as she finds creatures more interesting than people, honestly, but is dissuaded by her family who worry about her academic interests not being ladylike enough. They're probably right to be worried, but it's fine. She's fine. Everything's fine.
1888. It's a long, boring summer stuck in Hogsmeade with the fog. Ada gets a lot of reading done. She is nonetheless happy when the fog lifts, of course.
Personality:
- Clever
- Bookworm
- Socially awkward
- Most Likely to Become a Spinster with a House Full of Cats.

Quote:Harry didn't usually mean for things to go wrong. True, he was more than a little fascinated by how things functioned, and part of that was how they dysfunctioned. He wasn't sure that was a real word. He was a scientist, not a... person who knew words.
Speaking of not knowing words, clearly he didn't know the words in the instructions for the potion he was meant to be making, because something was very, very wrong. Harry could see this. He'd messed up enough potions over the years to know the signs. Unfortunately, all those ruined potions did not mean he always knew how to fix it.
This was definitely one of those times when Harry did not know how to fix it, because instead the potion exploded.

How did you hear about us?: I was here before, took a break, Charming moved in the interim, and I had an urge for some historical-type nonsense, so here I am. How I found Charming in the first place is a mystery lost to time.

So... Gideon Ollivander is hardcore on the hunt for a wife asap. He even attended the matchmaking events AND submitted a lonely heart. He, however, has had little luck. And as a man that's always just been married to his job and not really one for a commitment, he sucks at actively finding a wife cause he doesn't know "how"?
Why the need for a wife? He found out he has a daughter. That, however, is not public knowledge. Little Billie, that everyone actually thinks is a boy, is his daughter and now living in a room on the ground level of the Hogsmeade shop he got put into place. She is still remaining a "boy" for the time being but will have to become a girl once more before she goes off to Hogwarts in a couple years.
That's where a wife comes in. Dude has no clue how to teach Billie to be a young lady. He's clearly lacking in such parts and so when she ends up blooming into a lady, he'll be screwed. And.. He knows that. So, he needs a wife.
The only prerequisites are that she's of a decent reputation. She will be let in on the secret eventually. Though..likely not into they've actually been married. He's literally desperate at this point and would have no issue with a shotgun type deal.
So, got someone you need to get married asap, holler. Pm me on this account or hit me up on Skype/discord!

October Lynch
I'm not sure if you've heard from mother recently, though I think all of Hogsmeade could hear her yelling at me, I also didn't want to disturb your studies until the dust had settled a little.
Though I'm sure news has hit, thanks to the gossip rags, I did indeed get married on the 28th and it was influenced by the Amortentia letters. However, contrary to popular belief, I am quite happy with my situation, I promise you. It was certainly not how I imagined things would happen, but we are trying to make it work.
I hope all is well with you and that school is going well. I remember sixth year fondly.

Father: Stephen Hopkins b. 1578 d. 1630
Mother: Elizabeth (Fisher) Hopkins b. 1590 d. 1630
Half-Brother: Giles Hopkins b. 1602 d. 1668
Half-Sister: Constance Hackett nee Hopkins b. 1604 d. 1675
Brother: Oceanus Hopkins b. 1620 d. 1630
Appearance: Having been Turned at the tender age of 12, Damaris is stuck forever in a pre-pubescent body. She has just the slightest hint of a feminine body in the making, but never going forward. Her eyes, while dark ringed, are a brilliant blue that are quite haunting in appearance. It makes the bluish tinge in her skin almost luminescent in quality if she’s found in direct moonlight. She doesn’t actually glow, but she is quite noticeable in the light of the moon. Especially on the nights of a full moon. Her apparel tends to follow the trend of a younger child, since it gets her more blood that way. With long blonde hair, she can look rather angelic if you get past the creepy vibe she gives off. As with every other vampire, Damaris has the elongated canines and slightly sharper teeth.
History:
Pre-Vampire
1600: Stephen, Damaris’s father, marries a “gold digger” who thinks she can use Stephen for his money. They have two children together before she dies of influenza.
1617: Stephen chooses Elizabeth as his second wife and they’re soon married. Within a few months, Elizabeth was pregnant with their first child. She’s born in 1618 and they’re happy momentarily.
1620: Stephen is part of a group that decides to voyage to the New World, trying to escape religious persecution. While they are on the ship, Elizabeth gives birth to their second child, Oceanus. Once they dock at shore, the now two year old Damaris is given everything she could want, even though Oceanus was the baby. He was an easy going infant where Damaris was demanding and picky. Elizabeth bonded with Oceanus while Stephen latched onto Damaris since his two older children reminded him of his gold-digging deceased first wife. They weren’t ignored, but as soon as Constance was old enough, she was married off. Giles departed for a “grand adventure” and soon it was just the four of them.
1630: Everything had gone well, and then a group of travelers came into the small town they lived in. They hadn’t moved far from Plymouth, just to a farm that supported the four of them right outside of town. Within a few weeks, bodies started appearing. Lots of them. People were being picked off like flies and the Hopkins family decided to pack up and leave. The night they were going to escape the carnage that had become their town, two strangers broke the door down. It seemed like within minutes Stephen was dead, having gone for a shotgun he used to protect them from the Native Americans. Elizabeth started screaming and when they snapped her neck to stop her, Oceanus broke free of the stranger holding him hostage and was soon disposed of. Damaris attempted to command them to leave, and they laughed at her. Rather than killing her, they bit deeply into her neck, feeding from her. They kept her hostage for weeks, biting her all across her body. They’d wait for one wound to heal to scabs and then bite her again. Finally, one of them drained her too much and a strange transformation happened. When it became apparent she wasn’t dying, the two strangers, who Damaris had now recognized as vampires, laughed and decided that if she survived the transformation, they’d take her under their wing and show her how to be a vampire.
She survived.
Vampire Years
1631: This is the first that Damaris really remembers much about her life. The ghosts of her human life haunt her constantly and it makes her vicious to those she bites. She’s tormented and she hates it.
1645: By now she’s got some control over herself and though she doesn’t break with the vampires who created her, she doesn’t stick with them when they stay in one place for too long. She always returns, uncannily knowing when their time is done, but she explores the wilderness, killing farmers and as they went further west, Native Americans at random. One of her creators ends up dead by staking and the other decides to take off, effectively leaving Damaris—who now exclusively goes by Mari—to her own devices.
1690: Having made her way across the New World, well ahead of any explorers, Mari plays the lost child card to anyone who will take her in for a few nights. Granted they’re all Native Americans who were distrustful of a white skinned blonde child who appeared out of nowhere, she'd stay nearby for a few nights and once a few of them were dead, she'd move on.
1715: Once the west was explored, she moved south, leaving trails of bodies all the way to what would be known as Panama. She spent time with all kinds of people, occasionally meeting up with vampires that had come with the Spanish invasion, and then getting bored with them. She decided at last to return to the colonies, deciding that she would do better there, able to blend in better. A trail of bodies follows her on her journey back north.
1762: She’s returned to the colonies and decided on New Hampshire for her home. She is now able to control her hunger for a few days at a time, though she prefers to feed as frequently as possible. It was here, in a small village in 1764, where she got caught. No one in the colonies had ever really suspected the small girl who came in the middle of a trading caravan, moving from caravan to caravan whenever she could, of killing the people who died in each town. But she grew sloppy one night and was seen sucking the blood of an elderly man in an alley. She was taken into custody and when she was about to be taken to the stake, an older girl swooped in out of nowhere. Between the two of them, they massacre the town, taking out everyone in it. The small town they were in is now gone, forever wiped from the history of the colony.
1765-1774: Now that the two of them are together, Mari finds herself actually happy with Galina, the vampiress who saved her. She doesn’t remind her a bit of her older sister, but at the same time, she does. They begin to travel together, spending all this time together, and though it doesn’t change Mari’s ultimate personality, she does learn to listen to someone older than her again.
1775-1778: The American Revolution gives Mari and Galina a veritable feast to munch on for years. No one questioned the death of another soldier in the grand scheme of things and they were able to hide their movements in the night, just taking out people who were already injured even though they were expected to get better.
1779: By 1779, the pair had made their way to New York, where they feast on the people who survived the fire that decimated what was New York’s “Holy Ground.” Galina feasted particularly well on a young man, and they left him for dead. They find out much later that he survived the attack and became a vampire himself.
1798: Soon after Catherine the Great died, Galina and Mari get on the first boat heading to Europe. They dock in France and realize that there is a revolution going on. They get involved as much as they can, both because it gives them opportunities to feed and feed well, and because they have fun stirring up trouble.
1800: While still in France, the two vampires discover something they’d never thought possible. There was a hidden school. For witches. And wizards. And they had all kinds of magical beasts. It was outlandish and exciting. There was a forest nearby where Mari insisted they make their home for a while. She would lure unexpecting children out there, and then devour them. She didn’t care if they became vampires or not, she just liked the way the magical blood tasted in her mouth. It wasn’t different than human blood but it wasn’t the same either.
1803-1815: Finally Galina was tired of staying near Beauxbaton and they left to roam the French countryside. Occasionally they enter towns, with Galina posing as a seamstress, but they don’t stay long due to Mari’s incessant appetite. When the Napoleonic Wars begin, they tend to lurk around the outsides of towns near the war front looking for deserters to munch on.
1816-1846: The two girls begin to travel through Prussia, Austria, Poland, and other parts of Europe that they have not yet been to. Whenever Galina gets the urge to pretend to be a part of society, they enter cities and get work until the urge passes. They typically stay in smaller towns or the woods surrounding them so that they don’t get caught. Occasionally they travel with caravans from place to place.
1847-1848: Galina gets intrigued by the politics of the areas they were in, but Mari tends to be bored of it all spend her time “playing” with the children of the important men, telling them what to do and biting them surreptitiously when they don’t listen.
1850: Traveling back to Paris Galina finds them work in a opera house as ballet dancers for a year. After a year the rumors of a nearby serial killer begin to get taken too seriously and many begin to realize that Mari has not grown or changed as a girl her age should be. The two leave Paris.
1851-60: They continue to travel through Europe in their fashion, seeing countries such as Spain, Italy, and Greece. Mari doesn’t get the need for culture that Galina has, and complains loudly when they stay in place for too long. Still, she tries to indulge Galina as best she can, whenever she can hold off on her boredom.
1860-70: Galina and Mari travel back to Germany, France, and the countries where their appearances at least blend in a little. Especially since they’re two blonde girls, it was harder for them to keep a low profile when people ended up dead in the countries they were in.
1870-present: Once they got bored of Germany, the girls forged the English Channel and entered Great Britain. They found another magical school and settle into the woods there. Galina gets involved with politics but Mari gets bored of it quickly and spends her time luring people into the woods where she would toy with them, let them go, and then do the same thing over and over until she ended up killing them. She got a reputation as a vicious vampire and scorned Galina’s work with the coven there. She refused to live in the caverns where the others were, and did her best to get Galina to ignore them. The only worthwhile thing was when a magical fog descended onto the town and Mari was able to hunt during the day. She would sneak through the park and munch on people and then flee into the fog whenever someone noticed. She grew remarkably skilled at just taking a little bit of blood from the people she was hunting so that there were no deaths for the magical community to blame on Galina and her friends.

Standing at five feet, one inch tall, Daphne has been continuously mistaken for a fully-grown woman since she was fourteen. Her short height has always been balanced by natural curves, and she would be a prime candidate for having a rounder post-baby figure if not for her inadequate diet. She has platinum blonde hair and darker eyebrows, a straight nose, and plump lips. She uses creative hair-styling to to frame her face to detract from her wide jawline, which is her most notable (and least favorite) trait.History:
She dresses in clothes appropriate to her station and occupation. She does not own a wand, having sold her first one shortly after leaving school; one year at Hogwarts was not enough to make it a useful tool.
1861 | Born the fourth and final child in the Boot family, Daphne was immediately doted upon by mother, father, and her three elder brothers. Despite her parents' low wages and often unsafe working conditions, they'd always been determined to build a family of their own—but unlike many others, were unwilling to have children they couldn't afford (and thus, fifteen years separated Daphne and her eldest brother).Personality:
1863 | With a poor grasp on reading and writing, the Boots decide not to send Ellis to Hogwarts as they did with Merritt. Instead, he goes to work as a shoe-shiner at the local cobbler's workshop.
1868 | Following the destruction of the family home in a fire, the Boot family is scattered. While Daphne and her mother go to live with an aunt who's willing to take them, Merritt and Ellis go to live with their second cousins, the Bletchleys, while Fritz and Daphne's father go live with her widowed grandmother. Their plans to live under one roof again never come to fruition, but the love between family members never fade.
1869 | Fritz does go to Hogwarts, and with a strong mind and endless studying, earns the grades to secure a scholarship that grants him the opportunity to continue his education.
1872-1873 | With a decent grasp on English and a drive to succeed (or at least prove herself equal to her elder brother), Daphne is sent off to Hogwarts and is sorted into Gryffindor. While not an awful student, her studies don't come naturally to her, and rather than preparing for examinations she may not pass, she chooses to drop out after her first year. She goes to work as a kitchen maid for a London family.
1876 | After her mother suddenly passes, Daphne goes off to live with her second cousins, the Bletchleys. An impressionable fifteen-year-old, she falls for the charms of her elder cousin, Wilson Bletchley, and the two begin a romantic affair. He promises to marry her, but in return she has to prove herself dutiful and obedient. Still recovering from her mother's death and longing for a life of her own, she obliges him. It would take years to realize how toxic the relationship was—but not before it was too late.
1877 | Daphne marries her second cousin at the young age of sixteen and temporarily trades her maid job for one in retail after she discovers she's expecting a child. The tension in their marriage is obvious to those looking in, but Daphne is dedicated to him—and arguably brainwashed to some degree.
1878 | As the beginning of the year, Daphne gives birth to her first child, Ida Bloom Bletchley. What should be a happy time for the young mother becomes one of realization and depression. Her husband's controlling nature becomes apparent when he tries to use their daughter as "punishment" when Daphne "misbehaves". He limits the time between mother and daughter, snatches Ida from her arms while breastfeeding, and—on one occasion too many—threatens to kill them. This causes Daphne to run off to her father in a panic, but he sends her right back home to her husband, citing her "feminine hysteria".
1880 | In an attempt to find better work, the Bletchleys move to the Hogsmeade slums with their daughter. Having spent years dodging her husband and generally learning to cover her tracks, Daphne begins searching for a way out of her marriage. Unfortunately, her options at this point are "divorce" and "murder", and neither of them will help protect mother and daughter.
1884 | Wilson dies. Daphne's only a little involved. After declaring his intentions to fix up their shack, Daphne quietly tampers with the tools—specifically the ladder, which he eventually falls from and dies from his injuries. With the death ruled accidental and nothing stopping her from moving forward, Daphne takes her daughter and a job at the Lupin household as a maid. The pay is good, but the rules are strict: she has to take an unbreakable vow to protect the family secrets... and so does her daughter.
1887 | After years of working for the Lupin family, Daphne finds herself becoming more and more aware of her budding affection for the master of the house. She does her best to keep her feelings hidden (lest she have the mistress of the house at her throat), but the more she thinks about him, the more intense they get...
1888 | Following her daughter's tenth birthday, Daphne begins wondering how she'll be able to send her off to school. She begins looking for other work, but domestic service provides comforts that other work wouldn't.
Other: —Fiercely protective. Motherly. Empathetic. Responsible. Hardworking. Manipulative—but usually without the intent to cause harm. Trustworthy.

I may be found at the Museum of Magical Miscellany most any day, and very much look forward to discussing my research with you.
Mr. Davies

Richard Gladstone
The first time she'd made a mistake to run off to a rural muggle town with a man, it had been a mistake. She hadn't gone to Ireland that time with the intention to snog Ben Crouch's face off, but tonight with Mr. Gladstone—well, in Bella's narrow mind, that was one of the two options. The other, of course, was to return teary-eyed after officially breaking things off with him, but there was truly no telling how the conversation would end. Bella could be stubborn, but Mr. Gladstone was aggressively nice (and not to mention handsome!).
Bella had chosen the muggle town nearest where the Scrimgeour family kept their Welsh estate, but she knew from her parents' comments years ago that they never visited. There was nothing there, they'd said—and that was exactly why she'd chosen it. No wizards, nobody of note, no towns close enough for gossip to spread. Nothing.
They'd arranged to meet inside an inn, lest Bella find herself piss drunk inside one of the town's only pubs. That was an impression she'd been willing to give to the mysterious Ben Crouch, but not to the wealthy, sweet, responsible Mr. Gladstone. (Though that didn't stop her from stashing a flask of whiskey in her coat pocket in case the conversation got too tense and too emotional for her. Nothing wrong with a bit of preparation, right?)
After an hour of stress-pacing through the halls of the inn's halls, she heard a familiar voice speaking to someone. She took hesitant steps towards the nearest corner and, holding her breath, peeked around.
"Mr.— Richard," she breathed, a shiver running down her spine as his first name left her mouth. She would have greeted him formally, if not for the stranger staring at her; despite knowing that she'd never see him again after tonight, she didn't want him to think her some sort of... woman of the night!

He has yet to test this out though he believes it will help lift his family to higher standing...

How did you hear about us?: RPG-D

September 10th, 1888Araminta Scrimgeour,
I write this in fear I shall not see you again.
My health is ailing and I wish to do my best to make things right.
I hope what has transpired in recent months has not hindered you socially and if it has, I am sorry.
I have not been the best father to you, Julius, or your sister. And I have been a worse husband still.
My darling Araminta, please continue to grow into the woman I know you to be. I'm not sure what else to say. You shall create your own family and in time, I hope you remember me fondly though I do understand if you are unable. I have done so many wrongs in my life that finding the words to describe what I have done is an impossibility.
Stay well and I hope you write me soon.
Your father,
Argus Scrimgeour

September 8th, 1888Julius Scrimgeour,
My son, I write this to you in the hopes you will return the courtesy. I imagine you do not wish me to write you though please know that I am sorry.
My health is ailing and I fear I may not live to see myself out of this asylum. It is driving me to insanity; the screams, the cries. Everything about this place is terrible and I deserve much worse than that.
I wish to write this to make it known that I am proud to call you my son. You have turned into everything I could have hoped for in my son. You are a strong man who will one day father his own family.
Do not make the same mistakes as I.
Your father,
Argus Scrimgeour
