Diligent Grimshawe has been working and living in London for years so could probably find cause to know most WC London-based characters. He tends bar at the Jinxed Jackrabbit basically every night that he can't get better playing employment elsewhere dealing at card tables. He's sometimes at the Casino when they have events or hired for private parties.
He uses a series of aliases but is somewhat lazy about it. If you've hired him for a party you probably did so under the name Henry Havelock (slightly more respectable). If you've played cards against him it might have been as Jellicoe Klee. He usually cheats, sometimes gets caught and then gets involved in bar fights as a result.
He had a side business making curses and can be found in all sorts of shops getting weird things to use in curse rituals. Will Penrose is his "I'm very business don't ask questions" name.
His personality is: smart but way too cocky to consistently do smart things. He doesn't have much respect for The System and can present a bit nihilistic but privately has his own moral code... as in, if he's cursing you and he thinks you deserve it he makes the curse worse free of charge :-)
I am looking for:
- any WC connections
- curse folks! Those who paid for one, those who might have been victims of one, possibly someone investigating one? Also potential interactions here with people who are interested in curses academically
- anyone you want to corrupt haha
- slow burn romance type things, he is presumed to be in a relationship with his roommate but isn't actually so I anticipate anything with actual feelings involved could get messy. Any gender.
- past enemies- he fucked someone up in Hogwarts and got expelled for it, and then later was fired from an UC household serving role - deets on these are flexible but good opportunities for people to dislike him
