Did You Know?
Queen Victoria was known for putting jackets and dresses on her pups, causing clothing for dogs to become so popular that fashion houses for just dog clothes started popping up all over Paris. — Fox
It would be easy to assume that Evangeline came to the Lady Morgana only to pick fights. That wasn't true at all. They also had very good biscuits.

December 24th, 1877 — Victory's Lovers Residence
Victory was utterly pleased with where his life was right now. There were a couple of things that he wished he could change but that would come in due time, he was sure. He was not the eldest son so he was not expected to live at home until he wed and took over ownership of the estate. He was more or less free to do as he pleased even if his parents did not always agree with his choices. He doubted they would be accepting of him moving in with a middle class man though so that was something that he was going to have to figure out.

That did not stop him from slipping out of the fireplace into that of his lovers this fine Christmas Eve. Not a creature had been stirring in his own home so he had felt quite safe in getting away for the night. "I'm here," he informed the other man with an impish grin that was followed by a deeply passionate kiss. Coming to his lovers side always felt rather like coming home. He could not wait until the day when that would be the truth of it.

He took out the gifts that he had prepared for the other man, placing them beside the small pile that he was sure was meant for him. There was also a bowl of raisins that had been soaked in alcohol and he chuckled. He supposed it might be one of their stranger traditions for the holiday to do together but if it was good enough for the muggle Queen, it was good enough for him.

"Come on, V. Get that wand out and let's get started with our Christmas Eve," the other man declared. Victory could not resist a playful eyebrow wiggle at the mention of getting wands out. Behaving for now, Victory sat on the sofa beside the other and pulled out his wand. "Incendio," both men cast at the same time, lighting the bowl of raisins on fire. Competitiveness kicking in Victory worked to get as many raisins out of the mini-inferno as possible. "Why did those Royals invent this tradition," he could not help laughing as both men took turns hissing at the feel of the flames. Sure, they could have cast that spell to not feel the flames but they had both felt that took the spirit out of things.

When they were done with the raisins, they exchanged their gifts. The other man had given him a pocket watch with an engraving of the endearment the other man often called him. He had gifted the other a locket that possessed a lock of his hair as he was not so bold as to risk putting a portrait of himself within it. Their gifts to each other given, they enjoyed a late night meal. The late hour did not matter to them as they delighted in the turkey that Victory had procured for the pair of them. For the night, they could pretend to be any other wed couple enjoying a Christmas Eve together.

Victory only wished that they could have decorated one of the trees that stood in his lovers yard. He could not risk being spotted and recognized though so that was a tradition that they would need to figure out some other year. For Victory had no doubt that every Christmas for the rest of his life would involve his lover. They were soulmates, after all so surely that was a given. The pair rounded out their night by slipping up to the bedroom and basking in the glow of their passionate love, their youthful laughter filtering out the windows into the starry sky.
