The recent fog expedition did two things for Lou: it reminded him that at one point he was an auror and he was a pretty good one, even working around the whole 'werewolf' thing; it gave him a lot of financial wiggle room because he has prize money to spend now. What's a boy with no real connections to anyone, good investigative instincts, loose pocket change and an undeveloped sense of self-preservation to do?

I'm planning to have him start advertising for this soon (probably in some classifieds in the DP and/or community bulletin things in Hogsmeade), but I wanted to post here to do an interest check so that I could see where his 'target audience' should be for potential clientele. Have someone who might hire a private detective? Come throw them at me and let's plot the day away. My preference would be for schemes where both parties involved in the investigation are played (ie., a played character hires him to investigate another played character), but I could also further your plot needs by investigating NPCs/being hired by NPCs to investigate your characters.
Actual post/thread commitment is super flexible! I'll work on whatever timeline is required for your plots

I'm also taking suggestions for a formal name for this because it seems like most people just used their actual name and 'Charlie Williams' seems too... bland to be the name attached to the face of a detective agency.

Ideas:
- Husbands who suspect their wives of having affairs and have them followed (or vice versa)
- Business partners who suspect the other of stealing money/not reporting everything
- Potentially criminal activities
- Finding missing persons
- Looking into things that are vaguely 'suspicious' but that aurors wouldn't care about (routine but inexplicable absences, for instance, or sources of income that don't really make sense)
- Trying to drum up blackmail material on someone
- A blackmailed party who would like their blackmailer uncovered/arrested, without being implicated in it — anyone still up for this plot?
- Other things, whatever you can think of!
