1. He held internships at St. Mungos.
After going through three different departments, Mister Macmillan ultimately never continued a career in healing. It can be assumed that he does know more about healing spells than the average man, however!

2. His family is a very well connected!
A pureblood family, the Macmillans are related to some of the most prestigious pureblood family's in the country such as the Pendergasts.

3. He was previously betrothed .
Mister Macmillan was betrothed to a young girl that unfortunately passed away in 1880. He has not been betrothed since.
