January 17, 1896 — Quidditch Pitch
It was a lovely Saturday and the pitch had been made available for any students that might like a leisurely afternoon on their broom. Viretta had other plans in mind as she was determined to achieve her goal of becoming a Beater for the house team in the next year. The fact that there was a kind of stigma with young women playing Quidditch did not deter her. She would have forged her mothers signature if she had to but thankfully she had not had to do so. Viretta flew a lap around the pitch, going faster every few feet before slowing. She was not going to rush herself. That would only lead to potential injury and end up hindering her efforts. Besides, she was already a rather good flyer. She just had to get more practice in with flying with one hand. After all, during actual games, there would be a beater bat in it.
